CBD Hemp Seeds – Grow your own cannabidiol-rich hemp plants!
At Cibiday you can buy seeds from CBD-rich hemp strains which are officially recognised and can be legally grown. As opposed to weed, hemp is not meant for smoking. The user will not experience any stoned or high sensation with hemp due to the lack of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
CBD Hemp from seed
Because the hemp plants are not psychoactive but they do contain high levels of cannabidiol (CBD), these wholesome plants are extremely beneficial and widely applicable. You can simply sow the CBD seeds and from the harvested hemp you can make tea, make CBD-rich oil, enrich bathwater, make raw juice or compose a healthy salad amongst other things.
Growing CBD- and THC-rich weed plants
Besides hemp seeds, you can now also buy weed seeds. Plants grown from these carefully selected seeds contain high percentages of both CBD as of psychoactive THC. The weed seeds are intended for small hobby growers and are only supplied 5 seeds at a time. It is therefore not possible to place multiple orders for weed seeds per one username or IP-adress within a short period of time. These orders will be cancelled!
You can find more information at the bottom of the page.
Which CBD seeds to buy?
In our product range you can make a choice from various types of hemp seeds, including Futura 75, Finola, Kompolti, Ferimon, Fedora or USO 31. The Futura 75 seeds come from CBD-rich hemp plants which are grown at 1500 meters above sea level in Sierra Nevada in Spain. USO 31 comes from hemp which is grown in Germany. We also offer the possibility for the hobby grower to grow the two purebred textile strains Marcello and Ivory as well, with complete other characteristics again from the other fibre hemp strains.
Hemp seeds come from certified and completely legally grown hemp in which hardly any THC is found at all and which therefore has no psychoactive effect. This means these plants do not cause any mind-altering sensation and can be consumed confidently without worry this will hinder your daily activities.
To buy Sativa or Indica weed strains?
Weed plants (Cannabis sativa L.) on the other hand can cause psychoactive effects due to the higher THC levels. Weed is divided into Sativa and Indica weed plants. Sativa plants provide a uplifting, happy feeling (high feeling), while Indica plants often make you feel tired, languid and couch locked (stoned feeling). For by far the most situations Indicas are best suited. With gloomy thoughts or when you are feeling out of sorts however, the Sativa strains are recommended.
Hemp plants (Cannabis sativa L.) are also part of the Cannabis sativa family, but their effect should not be confused with the sativa effect that weed plants cause. As it happens hemp, as mentioned before, does not cause any psychoactive effect whatsoever.
How do I grow hemp?
Hemp- and weed plants are very easy plants that need little care during the cultivation process. Because the plants grow very fast and form a dense canopy, weeds do not get the chance to survive. Furthermore hemp is not easily susceptible to diseases and plagues which renders the use of herbicides, insecticides and pesticides unnecessary. The hemp seeds are also very easy to germinate. A seed does not need light yet but it does need to be kept moist.
You can germinate the hemp seeds in several ways. You could for instance put the seed directly into the soil, but you can also put it in a glass of water or let it germinate inside moist tissues in between two saucers.
Can hemp be smoked?
As mentioned before, hemp is not meant to be smoked. By this we mean that it is not suitable for recreational smokers and it will not cause any stoned or high feeling whatsoever. However it is of course possible to use the dried hemp leaves and flower buds as a substitute for tobacco, but many users find the taste less pleasant than the taste of tobacco or weed.
If you do decide to use the dried hemp as a substitute for tobacco, it is advisable to thoroughly remove the seeds and stems from the plant material. The sharp stems can also cause tears or holes in the rolling paper.
Take note! Hemp resembles weed!
It is well-known that hemp plants are hardly distinguishable in appearance from weed plants and that many people, including the police, are unable to see the difference between the two types of cannabis. On top of that comes the fact that the laws in the Netherlands concerning the growing of both hemp as of weed are still generally very unclear.
The growing of hemp for your own use is permitted, but if you know of the cultivation of large amounts of hemp (large hemp fields) in the Netherlands you are obliged to report it. The growing of weed for your own use is not actively prosecuted in many circumstances, the growing of more than 5 weed plants however is actively prosecuted and is illegal!
Take care! Have some consideration for your fellow grower!
Since the hemp seeds can also grow male and hermaphrodite (dioecious) plants, besides females, they can start producing pollen in the flowering stage which can be carried for miles by the wind. Some growers however only grow female weed plants where it is important to have bud formation (flower buds) as much as possible.
The pollen that lands on weed plants, causes the plant to stop producing buds and switch to seed formation. This is a very bad effect for people that need THC for specific reasons. This beneficial cannabinoid is after all mainly found in the buds of the plant. If fewer buds (or smaller buds) are produced, the plant will also be able to make less THC.
We therefore advise against the random spreading of unused seeds. The more pollen floats in the air, the more chance there is of fertilising female weed plants. Better to save the leftover seeds until the next year or donate them to other people who would like to grow their own CBD-rich plants with the hemp seeds. That way everyone can benefit as much as possible from the remarkable cannabis plant.
